Rising to New Heights: Experiencing Supernatural Elevation

Introduction: Supernatural elevation is the divine promotion and advancement that comes not from human efforts alone, but from God’s intervention. When God decides to elevate you, no force on earth can stop it. This sermon explores what supernatural elevation is, how it manifests in the lives of believers, and how we can position ourselves to experience it.

I. Understanding Supernatural Elevation:

  1. Definition:
    • Supernatural elevation is God’s act of lifting a person, family, or nation to a higher level of success, influence, and impact beyond what is naturally possible.
    • Key Verse: “For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He puts down one, and sets up another.” (Psalm 75:6-7, KJV)
  2. Biblical Examples:
    • Joseph: From the pit to the palace (Genesis 41:39-41)
      • Joseph experienced supernatural elevation when God moved him from being a prisoner to becoming the second most powerful man in Egypt.
    • David: From shepherd boy to king (1 Samuel 16:11-13; 2 Samuel 5:3)
      • David was anointed by God and eventually became king over Israel, despite being overlooked by his family.
    • Esther: From orphan to queen (Esther 2:17)
      • Esther, an orphaned Jewish girl, was elevated to become the queen of Persia, and through her, God saved the Jewish people from destruction.

II. How Supernatural Elevation Manifests:

  1. Divine Favor:
    • God’s favor is often the catalyst for supernatural elevation. When God’s favor rests upon you, doors open that would otherwise remain closed.
    • Key Verse: “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52, KJV)
  2. Uncommon Wisdom:
    • Supernatural elevation is often accompanied by wisdom that surpasses human understanding. God gives the wisdom necessary to handle new levels of responsibility.
    • Key Verse: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5, NKJV)
  3. Divine Connections:
    • God brings the right people into your life to help you reach new heights. These are people who recognize the potential God has placed in you and help you fulfill it.
    • Key Verse: “A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” (Proverbs 18:16, KJV)
  4. Overcoming Opposition:
    • Supernatural elevation often comes with resistance, but God gives the strength and strategy to overcome any opposition.
    • Key Verse: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.” (Isaiah 54:17, NKJV)

III. Positioning Yourself for Supernatural Elevation:

  1. Faithfulness in Little:
    • Be diligent in the small tasks and responsibilities God has given you. Your faithfulness will position you for greater elevation.
    • Key Verse: “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.” (Luke 16:10, NKJV)
  2. Humility:
    • Humility is key to experiencing supernatural elevation. God exalts those who are humble and depend on Him.
    • Key Verse: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” (James 4:10, NKJV)
  3. Prayer and Fasting:
    • Prayer and fasting are powerful tools for seeking God’s intervention in your life. They help align you with God’s will and prepare you for elevation.
    • Key Verse: “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:21, NKJV)
  4. Obedience to God’s Word:
    • Obedience to God’s Word is crucial. When you live according to His principles, you align yourself with His plans for your elevation.
    • Key Verse: “If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” (Job 36:11, NKJV)
